One of the greatest things about the internet is how much it exposes us to things we've never seen before. Things we would have never seen if not for its existence. Something about social medias like instagram, twitter, and neocities, is that they encourage people to express themselves. Its quite paradoxical, the internet is both an audience which includes everyone, but it also includes no-one at the same time. When people post online with little outreach, do they post in the context of knowing no-one will see what they've made? Or do they post because they want to be seen? Either way, when I see something unknown or with very small visibility, it reminds me of that saying "if a tree falls in a forest and nobody's there to hear it, did it really fall?" I say that it did. I think that even when we create something that nobody sees, it matters. And I want to share that view, by observing and interacting with these lonely "fallen trees" that are throughout the internet, and I want to document this journey on this blog. Because, although the internet and the "un-erasable" digital footprint serve to prove that "the tree has fallen", this blog proves that someone has witnessed it.
